This is an all day affair. We’ll meet at 8am (sharp!) at Sydney Olympic Park, Southee Pavilion, on the corner of Showground Road and Grand Parade in Homebush. Wine lovers will have their chance to taste from more than 2200 new & established wines from across the country, under the expert guidance of Ian Bailey who knows the ins and outs of the venue and the event, as well as the stories behind the wines and their makers. This is an advance preview, not open to the public before Saturday 18th February.
After such a spectacular tasting, you’ll be whisked by bus to the Darling Harbour Convention Centre where we’ll enjoy a selection of 12 trophy winning wines matched with a three-course meal featuring trophy and gold medal winning produce from the Sydney Royal Dairy and Fine Food Show as part of the Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) Macquarie Group Sydney Royal Wine Show Trophy Winners Lunch.
This is the one of the most looked-forward-to events in Sydney’s Wine Calendar. You’ll join the who’s who of the Wine Industry and be entertained by guest speakers including Chairman of Judges Iain Riggs and international judge Ned Goodwin MW. The WCA Australian Wine Communicator Award, the inaugural WCA Digital Communicator of the Year and the WCA Gourmet Traveller Wine New Wine Writer of the Year will also be announced and there will be some seriously good raffles to be won.
