Unico Zelo Tasting with winemakers Brendan and Laura Carter

11/01/2016

You might already be familiar with South Australia’s Unico Zelo. But if you’re not, the ol’ Oak Barrel is here to help. We’re chuffed to have the owners, Brendan and Laura Carter, here to present their new summer releases, which focus on Italian varietals. From what I’ve heard, this release sounds absolutely stellar, and I can’t wait to try the new editions to the Unico family.

Unico Zelo work with growers to bring back unwanted vineyards and help them convert to organic viticulture. Their philosophy is to make wine accessible. Their wines are creative and affordable, and they by no means skimp on quality. They apply strict minimal intervention techniques, with 100% wild ferment and without the addition of enzymes, nutrients, or sugar. As you might have guessed, their wines are made in very limited quantities.

Join us on Thursday January 28 for a night of fun wine with two of the loveliest winemakers around. For $25 (for members) you’ll get to try 8 new release wines, plus 1 very limited gin.

When: Thursday 28 January, 6:15pm – 8:15pm
Where: Oak Barrel Cellar Room, 152 Elizabeth St, Sydney
How much: $25 for members, $35 for non-members
