NEW STUFF - Nogne O - Part 2 - Norway

Winter is open us(Well nearly !) so time to bring out the BIG BOYS from one of my favourite Breweries.

Nøgne Ø / Mikkeller / Brewdog Horizon Tokyo Black - Imperial Stout 16% 250ml
On a cold, windy and rainy day in November 2010 we visited BrewDog together with world famous beer merchant Mikkeller. Our plan was to make a beer, which would be close to an interpolation between our individual brews Tokyo, Black and Dark Horizon. This beer should in turn be brewed by us and also for Mikkeller. It was called Black Tokyo Horizon.

Nøgne Ø Imperial Stout 9% 500ml
We think the Russian tsar would have liked his stout this way. A dark rich ale with a generous sweetness and roasted malt bitterness. Great with vanilla ice cream or dark chocolate.    rb  = 100

Nøgne Ø / Bridge Road /Aurora Australis II - Abbey tripel 11% 330ml
In Norwegian tradition alcoholic beverages are sent across the globe to benefit from the temperature variations and climate changes experienced when crossing the equator. This Belgian tripel was brewed at Bridge Road Brewers in Beechworth, Australia. Maturation took place in Australian Port barrels on its journey to Norway. Blending and packaging was carried out by Nøgne Ø.  rb   =  95

Nøgne Ø / La Chingoneria / Central Cervecera M.O.L.E. Imperial Stout 9% 500ml
MOLE... so simple... so powerful... so delicious! With good friends around the world anything can be done. Alberto and Ernesto from Central Cervecera and Isaac from La Chingoneria came all the way from Mexico City to Grimstad. Together we put the tasty MOLE in an imperial stout. That’s how you make a good beer!

Jan Halvor Fjeld, winner of the Norwegian home brewing championships 2010 brewed his champion Imperial  IPA at Nøgne Ø. We at Nøgne Ø are of course proud to be with him in making this happen.

Nøgne Ø # 100 (Batch 100) Barley Wine 10% 500ml
Our 100th batch, brewed for the enjoyment of the brewers, but popular demand forced us to release it commercially. This malty, yet light bodied ale has a massive hop bitterness. Most enjoyable in a comfortable chair in front of a roaring fire.  rb  =  99
