My Favorite Danish Brewery - To Ol - Denmark

21/09/2016

Citizens,

We probably have the best collection of To Ol in Australia. They are consistantly one of the best Brewers of an outstanding range of brews. They are in my top 5 Brewerys of our galaxy.

Here is my pick for the warmer months :

To Ol Mr Blue Sour/Wild Ale 7%
Rustique Saison brewed with Blueberries, and is the first beer to be released from our ‘Reservoir Dogs’ inspired series. This 7% Saison has a malt base of Rye, Wheat and Oats to deliver a spicy, fuller mouthfeel, hopped with Galaxy and Belma and then 500 kg blueberries per 1000 litre. This beer is complex and round with Belgian yeasty notes blended with the fresh blueberries that adds notes of nordic forest floors.  RB  = 89

To Ol Nelson Survin 9% Sour/Wild Ale
Continuing the sour fling — this is our sour DIPA boasting with Nelson Sauvin hops. Crazy tropical sour notes, all in one beer. we call it Sourvin…

To Ol Snowball Saison 8%
If you want something that can help you digest the dinner, ease you stommach and cleance your throat. And that is exactly what Snowball Saison will do. It is a SUPER sparkling crisp and dry Saison that has been refermented with milk acid bacterias and dry hopped over and over to give the beer a crisp and smooth tart finish (not to mention.... there is a lot of hops of course...)
Have a nice winter!   96 Points on Rate Beer

To Ol Dangerously Close To Stupid IIPA 9.3%
The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body.
To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one. Cheers, enjoy and be aware!   RB   =  99

To Ol Peardon My French 7.5% Saison
Cider-like Saison brewed with Pears and aged on Sauterne barrels. This crisp ale is straw coloured and sparkling using only Pilsner Malt and Unmalted Wheat, however we used Cider yeast and brewed it with Pears and used Calypso hops, to layer this beer with fruit flavours. This beer was then infused in Sauterne barrels, a sweet French wine, with Brett added into the barrels.  RB  = 97
