Galician Spanish Tasting

26/04/2016

Great opportunity to discover the wine from the Galician Region. Situated in the north west pocket of Spain, north of the Portuguese Border, it’s a beautiful area as you see on a picture, famous for these gorgeous landscapes, seafood and the Santiago pilgrimage trail.

There is a new wave of Galician wines and winemakers emerging, taking on from their parents, change their life style or just doing something different, they call them ‘The Fedellos of Galicia’. Fedellos is the local Galago term for annoying children; Brats. It is these very ‘brats’ who have brought a new sense of pride and prestige to a region of Spain that is often considered backward and, well, just plain odd, by the rest of the country.

The last decade has seen the emergence of a new image of Spanish wine, marked by Atlantic Freshness and driven by a new wave of wine makers. We will taste wine producing from terroir, naturally made and speak clearly of the land on which they have been grown.

Join us to taste your way through the region with over nine wines produced by the ‘Fedellos’ themselves with Lachlan Barber, Movida Sommelier and importer that will be guiding you through the wines of Galicia for this special night.
